Our Story
Premier Chatham LLC was founded with a straightforward belief: that quality housing and attentive ownership make a real difference in people's lives. As a privately owned real estate holding company, we have a direct and personal stake in every community we operate.
Unlike third-party property management companies, we are the owners. That means decisions are made by people who are genuinely invested in the long-term health of each property and the well-being of the residents who call them home.
Our portfolio spans apartment communities in Illinois and West Virginia, each managed with the same commitment to quality, responsiveness, and respect for our residents.
A Holding Company, Not a Management Firm
Premier Chatham LLC is a real estate holding company — we own the assets in our portfolio outright. We are not a property management company hired to oversee someone else's assets, and we are not a corporate REIT answering to outside shareholders. That distinction matters: our interests are fully aligned with our residents and our properties. When you live in a Premier Chatham community, you are renting directly from the company that owns and is invested in your home.
Our Ownership Philosophy
Being a privately owned real estate holding company means we answer to our residents and our communities — not to outside investors or corporate mandates.
Direct Ownership
We hold the properties in our portfolio directly. There is no intermediary between ownership and operations — decisions are made by people with a genuine stake in the outcome.
Quality Housing
We invest in maintaining and improving our communities because we believe residents deserve well-kept, comfortable homes.
Accountability
As the holding company and owner of record, we are accountable in a way that third-party managers simply cannot be. Our name is on every property, and we take that seriously.
Community First
Our residents are our neighbors. We approach every interaction with the respect and care that comes from being a true part of the communities we serve.
